REFERENCES

 

HOMIM's were used extensively in microbiome studies at The Forsyth Institute (9 PIs) and in other collaborative studies with national and international academic institutions (more than 120 investigative teams), government including NIH (6 investigative teams), and industry (12 companies). As a result of many of these studies, there were 59 peer-reviewed publications (most recently in 2019), 8 reviews describing HOMIM, and since 2009, over 50 national and international abstracts or presentations. HOMINGS, the HOMIM replacement, was also utilized by many investigators or teams (see testimonials). As of September 2019, there are 27 peer-reviewed, HOMINGS-associated publications and 2 HOMINGS-associated reviews. In addition, there have been over 20 abstracts/presentations at national and international meetings.


Again note that both HOMIM and HOMINGS are no longer available. However, as discussed elsewhere, NGS of the V1-V3 regions of the 16S rRNA genes is available only on a collaborative basis with Dr. Paster.
